POSITION SUMMARY:

  

This position is responsible for monitoring and providing vision, leadership and strategic direction to the Dean of Students for student affairs.  This is done through ensuring to establish productive student behavior management system. This position provides feedback and suggestions to the School Dean, Assistant Superintendent, and or Superintendent regarding overall student behavior management system of the school.

 

KEY JOB ELEMENTS:

 

  • Promote strategies and programs designed to positively impact student behavior.
  • Supervise and oversee The Dean of Students. Assure  code of conduct policies and procedures are developed and delivered.
  • Assure student counseling are in place and appropriately communicated for student behavior intervention mechanisms/programs.
  • Provide contact and problem resolution for parents, students, and staff.
  • Serve as hearing officer for due process procedures as they relate to student behavior and discipline.
  • Develop short and long range vision for the behavior management system.
  • Work collaboratively with Dean of School, Assistant Superintendent of Academics and other staff to accomplish student behavior goals and objectives.
  • Assure student code of conduct has been clearly communicated with all stakeholders in a consistent and ongoing manner.
  • Coordinate compliance with governmental regulations concerning student behavior matters.
  • Assure all buildings establish the same behaviour management system.
  • Substitute the Dean of Students in case of absences.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

  • Comfortable with Microsoft applications such as Word and Excel
  • Comfortable with Google applications
  • Data-oriented individual, who can assess and analyze the data to improve student behavior.
  • Excellent writing and speaking skills, and ability to communicate with students, teachers, and families of students.
  • Bachelor’s Degree is required
