SANY’s District Office is offering a great opportunity to gain experience in all aspect of Human Resources in the education industry! This is a seasonal role and the duration is 3-6 months, based on business needs.
As in HR Intern, you will be supporting the HR Coordinators with recruiting and help ensure compliance with school policies and state and federal law, as well as all other aspects of the department.
You will:
- Assist in communicating company policies and procedures. Promote understanding within the organization and across the school operations
- Draft and update job descriptions; assist in classifying positions and/or reclassifying positions as needed
- Answer employee questions, support claim resolution and maintain related systems
- Support the performance review process; provide employees and managers with information about the process, policies, and job duties
- Maintain employee records
- Assist in hiring and termination process
- Serve as employee liaison to assist in problem resolution with issues related to benefit deductions and pay
- Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations
- Assist in change of status forms with payroll

What you need
Qualifications:
- At least an HS Diploma required; currently enrolled in or completion of a college degree in a Business or Human Resources related major preferred.
- At least 1 year of office experience required. At least 1 year of experience in an HR function preferred
