Syracuse Academy has an opening for a part-time SAT Prep Tutor. This position is hourly for approximately 1 hour per week, to be held on Saturdays.

Principal Duties:

• Lead one to two groups of approximately 10 students in preparation for upcoming SAT exam.
• Provide strategies and fundamental guidance in order to help students develop skills needed to improve performance on the SAT exam.
• Review practice exams to evaluate improvement on the SAT exam.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

• Experience teaching test-taking skills for the SAT.
• Ability to work with struggling learners, and motivate/encourage them to persist towards their goals.
• Candidates must possess strong content knowledge of SAT Critical Reading, SAT Math, and SAT Writing.
• Ability to grade SAT practice exams.
• Bachelors Degree required.
